Quelli che mi vogliono morto, film diretto da Taylor Sheridan, racconta la storia di un dodicenne, Connor Casserly (Finn Little), che involontariamente si ritrova a essere il testimone di un omicidio e viene inserito in un programma di protezione testimoni. Per la sua incolumità viene spostato in una comunità remota del Montana, immersa tra le montagne e le foreste, dove è difficilmente rintracciabile. Peccato che gli autori dell'assassinio (Nicholas Hoult e Aidan Gillen) siano sulle tracce di Jace e hanno individuato dove si trovi.
L'adolescente, per cercare di avere salva la pelle, fugge disperato tra i boschi, non sapendo che da lì a poco un incendio è pronto a divampare nella zona. A rinvenire Connor tra gli alberi in fiamme è la guardia forestale Hannah Faber (Angelina Jolie), che si ritroverà a proteggere il ragazzo non solo dal fuoco, ma anche dai due killer, intenzionati a farlo fuori...
