TRAMA
Il processo ai Chicago 7, film diretto da Aaron Sorkin, è incentrato sul processo realmente avvenuto nel 1969, durante il quale sette persone sono state accusate dal Governo Federale degli USA di aver causato rivolte di masse nella Convention dei Democratici a Chicago, tenutasi l'anno prima.
Nel corso del convengo ci sono state diverse manifestazioni contro la guerra in Vietnam, che hanno raggiunto l'apice quando i dimostranti si sono presentati armati di pietre. La polizia ha dovuto sedare le rivolte con lacrimogeni, mentre in centro di Chicago veniva messo a ferro e fuoco dalla protesta. Le indagini hanno portato all'identificazione di sette manifestanti: Abbie Hoffman (Sacha Baron Cohen), esponente della controcultura americana dal carattere irascibile e con precedenti penali, Jerry Rubin (Jeremy Strong), Bobby Seale (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II), John Froines, Tom Hayden (Eddie Redmayne), Lee Weiner (Noah Robbins) e David Dellinger; tutti processati per cospirazione.
