Sweeney Todd - Il diabolico barbiere di Fleet Street (Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street) è un film del 2007 diretto da Tim Burton. Costituisce l'adattamento cinematografico dell'omonimo musical di Stephen Sondheim e Hugh Wheeler, a sua volta adattamento del dramma teatrale omonimo di George Dibdin Pitt del 1842.
Nel film recitano Johnny Depp, alla sua sesta collaborazione con il regista, nel ruolo di Sweeney Todd, Helena Bonham Carter nel ruolo di Mrs. Lovett, alla sua quinta collaborazione con Burton, Alan Rickman, nel ruolo del Giudice Turpin, e Timothy Spall, nel ruolo del Messo Bamford.
La pellicola è stata distribuita negli Stati Uniti il 21 dicembre 2007, nel Regno Unito il 25 gennaio 2008 con entusiastiche recensioni e in Italia il 22 febbraio 2008.
Il film ha vinto il premio come miglior film (commedia o musical) e come miglior attore (commedia o musical) alla 65-esima edizione dei Golden Globe. È stato inoltre candidato all'Oscar per il miglior attore protagonista e i migliori costumi, vincendo la statuetta come migliore scenografia all'80-esima edizione degli Academy Awards.

Sono passati quindici anni da quando il barbiere Benjamin Barker (Johnny Depp) è stato ingiustamente arrestato e condannato ai lavori forzati in Australia. L’uomo è stato incastrato dal perfido giudice Turpin (Alan Rickman) che desiderava disperatamente sua moglie, l’incantevole Lucy Baker. Così Benjamin fa ritorno a Londra con lo pseudonimo di Sweeney Todd e, sceso dalla nave, si separa dall’ amico Anthony Hope (Jamie Campbell Bower). Recatosi nel suo vecchio appartamento di Flat Street, tuttavia, si imbatte nella bizzarra Mrs. Lovett (Helena Bonham Carter) che gli svela la terribile sorte della moglie Lucy.
Il Giudice Turpin, diventa così l’obiettivo della vendetta di Todd. Lo spietato Turpin, infatti, tiene la figlia di Baker, Johanna (Jayne Wisener), reclusa in casa, con l’intento di costringerla a sposarlo. La giovane, intanto, ha folgorato il giovane Anthony con la sua bellezza e il ragazzo deciderà di combattere per la libertà dell’amata. Per arrivare a Johanna, Todd deve avvicinare il Giudice e si decide a fare colpo sul suo braccio destro, Bamford (Timothy Spall).
Ma il piano del diabolico barbiere incontra diverse difficoltà e l’intervento di Anthony, seppur in buona fede, rischierà di compromettere la sua identità. Mentre la vendetta acceca Todd e nel suo negozio scorrono fiumi di sangue, Mrs. Lovett si farà intenerire dal piccolo garzone Toby e approfitterà della furia omicida di Baker per risollevare l’economia del suo negozio di pasticci di carne. I segreti, tuttavia, si accumulano e la donna, inconsapevole che la sua decisione cambierà le sorti della vendetta del sanguinario barbiere di Flat Street, finirà per pagare lo scotto delle sue menzogne.
