Convicted of a decade old crime of transporting drug money to an ex-girlfriend, normally law abiding Piper Chapman is sentenced to a year and a half behind bars to face the reality of how life changing prison can really be.

Nella nuova prigione, infatti, dovranno imparare a destreggiarsi fra le regole imposte da due temibili sorelle rivali, l’ergastolana Carol (Henny Russell) e Barbara (Mackenzie Phillips).
Divise tra “blocco C” e “blocco D”, le prigioniere diverranno pedine degli scontri tra le due donne, portando nuove storie e personaggi alla serie.
