Il parroco Don Camillo ed il sindaco comunista Peppone recitano sullo schermo le loro strampalate avventure per la gioia di chi... non le conosce per averle lette nei libri di Giovanni Guareschi ed averle gustate nei film degli anni cinquanta. Le situazioni di amicizia-inimicizia sono le solite: le vicende tragico-comiche si susseguono le une dopo le altre sul campo da calcio, nell'osteria, in chiesa con tanto di dialoghi tra il parroco ed il Crocefisso-coscienza di Don Camillo, in episcopio... Le circostanze sono state aggiornate (luogo, mezzi di trasporto, musica e maniera giovanile di divertirsi), ma i due simpatici personaggi (così sono nel testo letterario) indossano abiti del tutto anacronistici.
Parish priest Don Camillo and communist mayor Peppone recite their cunning adventures for the joy of those who ... do not know them for reading them in Giovanni Guareschi's books and enjoying them in the films of the 1950s. The situations of friendship-enmity are the usual: the tragic-comic stories follow one after another on the soccer field, in the tavern, in the church with much dialogue between the pastor and the Crucifix-consciousness of Don Camillo, in bishop ... The circumstances have been updated (place, means of transport, music and youthful way of having fun), but the two cute characters (so are literary textbooks) wear completely anachronistic clothes.
