| Descrizione | X-Men - Giorni di un futuro passato (X-Men: Days of Future Past) è un film del 2014 diretto da Bryan Singer. La pellicola segue due linee temporali successive ad entrambi i film, mostrando da una parte un futuro post-apocalittico, risultato degli eventi di X-Men - Conflitto finale, dall'altra un passato ambientato negli anni settanta, successivo a X-Men - L'inizio.
Nel 2024, dei sanguinari robot senzienti conosciuti come le "Sentinelle" sterminano i mutanti e i loro alleati umani. In questo ambiente distopico, un gruppo di mutanti ribelli, tra i quali Kitty Pryde, Uomo Ghiaccio, Colosso, Alfiere, Warpath, Sunspot e Blink riescono a salvarsi dalle Sentinelle grazie ai poteri di Pryde, che è capace di mandare la coscienza di una persona indietro nel tempo in modo da informare il proprio gruppo sui pericoli imminenti, così da poter scappare prima ancora che i problemi insorgano.
Il gruppo di Pryde giunge in un monastero in Cina per ricongiungersi con i mutanti della squadra X-Men, tra questi Logan, Tempesta, il Professor X e Magneto. Gli X-Men pianificano di spedire Logan nell'anno 1973 per rintracciare Mystica e impedirle di assassinare il professor Bolivar Trask, il creatore delle Sentinelle. A seguito della sua uccisione, infatti, Mystica ha messo in cattiva luce i mutanti, quindi fu catturata e il suo DNA venne studiato dalla compagnia di Trask per migliorare le Sentinelle, che acquisirono così la capacità di adattarsi al potere di qualsiasi mutante, diventando quasi invincibili. Il Professor X e Magneto consigliano a Logan di farsi aiutare dalle loro controparti giovani.
