Trama
Le vite dei lavoratori della Initech Peter, Michael, Samir, e Milton. Due persone, chiamati "i Bob" perché hanno entrambi lo stesso nome, vengono portati alla Initech per aiutare nel "downsizing" e nella ottimizzazione della produttività. Ai lavoratori vengono quindi poste domande per vedere quali impiegati debbano essere eliminati... Peter, dopo aver dedicato tutta la vita al lavoro, decide di cambiare atteggiamento: più tempo con la fidanzata invece degli straordinari, orario di lavoro dedicato al sabotaggio delle politiche della società, ecc... Questo nuovo comportamento, con sua grande sorpresa, gli vale addirittura una promozione.
