I Taylor rientrano da una vacanza nel Gran Canyon. Il figlio più piccolo porta con sé un sasso trovato in una delle caverne un tempo usata per la venerazione degli spiriti da parte delle prime civiltà di indiani d'America. Il sasso finirà però per trasformare la casa dei Taylor in un posto inquietante, luogo di eventi soprannaturali e sempre più inspiegabili.
