Descrizione	1997: Fuga da New York (Escape from New York) è un film di fantascienza del 1981, diretto da John Carpenter, con Kurt Russell, Lee Van Cleef, Ernest Borgnine, Donald Pleasence, Isaac Hayes ed Harry Dean Stanton. È uno degli ultimi film con Lee Van Cleef, attore di culto delle pellicole western. La pellicola introdusse uno degli antieroi più famosi del cinema d'azione americano, interpretato da Kurt Russell: Jena Plissken. In realtà il soprannome del personaggio nella versione originale è "Snake", serpente. Il vistoso tatuaggio sul suo ventre è un'analogia che purtroppo si è persa nella versione italiana, dove, per motivi di labiale, si preferì "Jena".
