:: Trama ::
In un piccolo Stato dell'America Centrale, Franz Sanchez, signore assoluto di un vero impero della droga, il giorno delle nozze ha fatto violentare e uccidere la moglie di Felix, un agente amico e collega di James Bond. Rimasto gravemente ferito anche Felix, Bond decide di agire per proprio conto, poichè il suo capo gli ha tolto la licenza di uccidere, essendo questi fatti di competenza della CIA. Nell'impresa Bond sarà in parte aiutato dalla giovanissima Lupe Lamora, amante di Sanchez e ormai disamorata di questi e, in pari tempo, dalla graziosa ed impavida agente Pam Bouvier. Contornato dai suoi fidi, Sanchez ha vita dura: Bond penetra nella raffineria della droga e poi riesce ad introdursi nel principale luogo di distribuzione della droga, proprio mentre una delegazione cinese sta stipulando un accordo con il boss. Innumerevoli le peripezie, le imprese pazzesche su velivoli e su grosse autocisterne, lanciate attraverso le fiamme. Bond e Pam riescono nell'intento: Felix è vendicato, Sanchez ucciso e la sua organizzazione miliardaria distrutta.
